Black Metal- Nocturno Culto Interview(speechanalysis1)

In this short interview with Fenriz, the drummer of Darkthrone, he discusses how the term "black metal" came about from the pioneering U.K. metal band, Venom. The band has a very well-known song entitled, "Black Metal." Fenriz explains that ever since the late 1980's, there has existed, with normal fluctuations over time, an "occult" within the darker, bleaker metal community that is the black metal community. Darkthrone, even at their earliest conception in the 80's, was a jaded band with the added disadvantage that there was such a fledgling black metal scene in Norway at the time.
They discuss Euronymous from the band, Mayhem, and his indelible impact on the scene, in particular his now infamous record store called Helvete(Hell) and all the contacts he made around the world with people involved in the extreme metal scene.
The black metal scene in Norway is still quite large, having garnered a lot of notoriety from the mid 1990's. There were quite a few bands then that were interested in the same metal music, and it still resonates today.
